Set to thinking of all the young girls who will be giving sisters away this summer at weddings....
Must be tough for them to watch them grow-up - feeling like it's happening too soon. Does that make sense?
We always think of parents - but not the kids left at home.

and that's what I thought of -- a girl having to see her best friend, her sister - getting married and leaving home.
I have a soon to be 18 year old engaged daughter - and also a 10 year old daughter... I can see the ten year old already worrying about it.
Anyway - this is dedicated to all the younger siblings of brothers and sisters getting married.

This is an absolutely gorgeous piece, and as a youngest child who watched all of her older siblings grow up, get married and move out one by one I'm rather struck by the commentary as well. In any case, beautiful use of light and color here, and a wonderful job capturing a very poignant mood, I love it!
